Sometimes Your Guides Have a Different Plan......All you have to do is trust the process…
Sometimes your guides have a different plan in store for you. All you have to do is trust the process.
A couple of weeks ago, I was happily preparing for the month of May. As I usually do before each new month begins, I sent out emails to confirm the upcoming guest presenters for our May 2026 schedule. One by one, the guests wrote back and confirmed their presentations — except for one.
At first, I did not think too much of it. I sent a cheerful follow-up email asking if they were still interested in presenting, but I heard nothing. I even called and sent a text message, but still… radio silence.
With only two weeks left before the end of the month, I started to get a little worried. One evening, my partner suggested that I write back and offer the guest the option of doing their presentation later in the summer. Strangely enough, I received an answer almost immediately. But as the conversation continued, I could sense that the enthusiasm was no longer there. Eventually, the person disappeared from the process entirely.
At that point, I thought to myself, Well, it looks like we are going to have a break for our first presentation in May.
I did not have much time to dwell on it because I had a Discussion Group to host just a couple of days later. So I put the matter out of my mind, although I was still quietly wondering why everything had unfolded that way.
Two days later, I hosted the Discussion Group, and we had a lovely turnout. The energy was warm, open, and engaging, and I could tell that people were enjoying the experience. Then, during the last 30 minutes of the session, someone new signed on and began to share with the group.
Her name was Mercy Rose.
Right away, I could feel that she had amazing energy. She introduced herself and began speaking about her work as a shaman, while also offering her perspective on the topic we were exploring that evening. She was bubbly, friendly, insightful, and very easy to talk to. There was something about her presence that felt natural and familiar.
After the Discussion Group ended, Mercy and I stayed on the call and spoke for nearly two hours. It felt like catching up with an old friend. She shared pieces of her incredible life and spiritual work, and I was struck by how much knowledge, wisdom, and lived experience she carried. She was generous with her time and offered thoughtful, helpful advice about some questions I had been carrying.
Toward the end of our conversation, I paused for a moment. I hesitated because I was about to ask something that I would not normally ask of someone I had only just met. I had a guest cancel at the last minute, and under normal circumstances, it would never occur to me to invite someone new to step into that space so quickly.
But something urged me on.
So I gathered my courage and asked Mercy if she would be interested in doing a presentation for us on May 6th.
It was very last minute, and there was not much time to prepare — but she happily agreed. Together, we decided on a topic, and from that moment forward, everything seemed to flow effortlessly. The event page practically wrote itself. The energy was easy, clear, and aligned.
On May 6th, Mercy gave her presentation, and I can honestly say that it was one of the most impressive presentations we have had on the show. Her abilities completely blew me away.
After the show, Mercy and I spoke again about something I had been personally experiencing. She was able to help me clear the issue in a way that was unexpected, powerful, and deeply validating. That moment made me a true believer in her abilities.
Since our first meeting, Mercy and I have decided to work together on other projects that will unfold later this summer and into the fall. And just a couple of days ago, it dawned on me that this entire experience had been a gift from my guides.
When one door closes, another always opens. It has to — because the universe has a way of restoring balance.
I could have panicked when the original guest did not work out. I could have stressed, scrambled, or tried to force the situation into place. But instead, a mysterious wave of calm came over me. I simply shrugged my shoulders and gave the whole thing over to my guides.
Now I can see that they were quietly redirecting me. They placed me on another path, one that brought in a much better situation than I could have planned on my own. What began as a cancellation has now blossomed into a wondrous new friendship, a creative partnership, and the promise of many beautiful gifts still to come.
