It doesn’t ignite like tinder in a campfire. No, no, no. It engulfs you like a dry hay bale soaked in gasoline and set ablaze.
You may have even just passed through a healing crescendo in the wake of an awful dark night of the soul. And then—guess what? Meet-cutes are not just for fairy tales.
The first moments of two Twin Flames meeting in person can feel like standing at the center of a quasar preparing to create an entire universe when it explodes.
For the Divine Feminine of the pair, the encounter may be felt as a powerful emotional recognition. She cannot deny the desire to draw closer, to understand, and to know her Divine Masculine counterpart.
For the Divine Masculine, the ignition may initially feel more physical and somewhat subtler. He recognizes the warmth and presence surrounding his Divine Feminine counterpart, while his mind may still hold on to a reasonable degree of hesitation.
Within the Twin Flame dynamic, one individual often embodies more of the Divine Feminine energy, while the other leans more strongly toward Divine Masculine energy. Both Twins carry masculine and feminine energies, just as all people do.
These energetic roles are not necessarily determined by biological sex or gender. A woman may embody the Divine Masculine energetic orientation while a man embodies the Divine Feminine, or vice versa. Twin Flame relationships also do not need to be heterosexual. They may exist between two men, two women, transgender partners, bisexual partners, interracial couples, or people representing many different expressions of gender and sexuality.
In our understanding of the Twin Flame path, these two souls come together because there is something they are meant to experience, create, heal, or accomplish together.
And the connection can feel extraordinary.
Every time you touch, it may feel like being touched by an angel. No joke—but yes, the wording is intentional.
When Twin Flames are together in Union, their energies can feel as though they complete, awaken, heal, and mirror one another. Many Twin Flames describe a powerful sense of intuitive or even telepathic connection. Eye contact can become effortless and prolonged, and spending an hour or two together may feel like only minutes have passed.
The conversations can go very deep, very quickly.
Imagine living life with your favorite podcast host—the person who thinks the way you think, loves the same strange topics you love, and whose mind you could happily pick for hours while feeling completely safe being an open book.
That is a little of what it can feel like.
For us, one of the most life-changing aspects of Union has been the movement of kundalini energy.
This awakening can occur during sacred intimacy, but it can also arise simply through being together, touching, meditating, connecting energetically, or even being physically apart. In our experience, distance does not necessarily diminish the feeling of connection once that bond has awakened.
One day, after we discovered a tiny outdoor chapel perfect for a photo shoot, Lindsey said to me:
“They say that when two people choose to be married to each other in their hearts, the marriage has already happened.”
After visiting that chapel and deciding to call ourselves “married” in spirit, something shifted profoundly within me.
Our touch seemed to wash away old karmic pain. Our sacred intimacy moved energy in ways neither of us had experienced before. But after that symbolic moment of spiritual marriage, I felt my Ka—my aura and life-force energy—expand exponentially.
The awakening felt like fissures opening inside bubbles of magenta-pink unconditional love, lighting up throughout my entire body.
My heart became so intensely alive that I sometimes had to remind myself to begin my evening spiritual practices early enough that I could actually calm down and get some sleep!
We feel each other’s loving emotions even across distance, and we are both deeply committed to building this life together and doing whatever is required to bring our shared dreams into form—even when setbacks, challenges, or uncertainty appear along the way.
For us, Twin Flame Union means trusting that when two people are brought together through what they experience as Divine guidance, there is something greater unfolding through the relationship.
There is something powerful about saying YES.
Yes to a person.
Yes to an assignment from God.
Yes to your life’s calling.
When that yes comes from somewhere deep and sincere, life has a strange way of beginning to rearrange itself.
In February, I made the difficult but decisive choice to leave a three-year marriage that had become far more turbulent than romantic.
Almost immediately after making that decision, a profound soul-level sense of connection to another woman intensified.
For approximately six months, I felt her presence with me in my astral space almost daily. I began remembering what I understood to be a previous lifetime together—including both the traumatic ending of that life and sacred temple work we had shared in that lifetime and others.
From my perspective, we had already achieved what I call “Kingdom Spouse” status as Twin Flame souls long ago.
So somewhere inside me, I never doubted that we would meet again.
And then came August.
I was facilitating Cosmic Congress, the first annual gathering I had organized.
And lo and behold—Lindsey appeared unexpectedly.
She had purchased her ticket during the weekend event while I was camping and completely out of cell service. At the same time, she had been preparing to make a major life change. She was supposed to move to New Mexico that weekend but instead decided to attend this strange little Cosmic Congress event she had heard about.
Her reason?
She wanted to:
“Find other weirdos to do CE-5 with.”
Did anyone ever tell you to be careful what you wish for?
Our official meet-cute happened when I greeted her as the event host while she rolled into the giant crystal campsite.
Our auras seemed to ignite one another as though a phoenix were breathing directly over us.
We had a picnic beside a faery glen, where there is said to be a faery nest. Later, we held hands beneath the Perseid meteor shower while taking part in a successful CE-5 experience.
Could someone have written a more cosmically dramatic beginning?
Maybe.
But they would have had to try pretty hard.
One of the themes we have noticed in Twin Flame stories is that unusual, mystical, synchronistic, or auspicious events often seem to gather around the initial meeting.
Perhaps you are deep in a sacred ceremony, rediscovering your true self, when you encounter them.
Perhaps you are traveling the world, visiting breathtaking places and living your dream, only to meet your Twin at a humid tropical island café—and later discover that they live in your own neighborhood.
Perhaps you meet someone whose values, passions, quirks, and sense of purpose seem to mirror your own with uncanny precision.
Believe it or not, stories like these do happen.
For those who resonate with the Twin Flame concept, the first meeting can feel less like meeting someone new and more like remembering someone you have somehow always known.
Lindsey and I bring decades of collective experience in relationships, personal healing, and work with therapists, shamans, and other healers.
Our Drama to Divine Union course is an eighteen-week journey through nine essential “Love Buttons”—layers and influences that can affect our relationships with the people we love.
These include ancestral karma, past-life karma, present-day family relationships, subconscious habits and patterns, personal vows, beliefs, values, and other emotional and spiritual influences that may shape how we relate to one another.
Throughout the eighteen weeks—and later through our Kingdom Spouse membership for couples who have completed the program—we explore ways partners can recognize and heal the patterns, blocks, and emotional triggers that arise within relationship.
Our work includes practices such as the Mirror Exercise, cultivating sacred sexual energy, and the God’s Full Embodiment Energy Healing Intensive™️, along with other tools designed to help couples move from conflict and unconscious patterning toward greater awareness, intimacy, and Divine Union.
Our own relationship continues to teach us that love can be both beautiful and demanding.
It can awaken us.
It can challenge us.
It can reveal the places where we still need to heal.
And sometimes, if we are willing to listen, love can become one of the greatest spiritual teachers we will ever encounter.
For those who feel called to explore this work with us, the link to book a Heart Call is available at peacefulreign.com.
We wish all the Love in the entire Universe upon you—and upon your lover.
